Football Dreams est un travail et un livre de photographies sur le football hors des sentiers battus, tel qu’il est pratiqué sur des terrains de fortune de par le monde. Balles fabriquées avec du papier et du scotch, buts constitués de branches grossièrement assemblées, joueurs pratiquant sur des terrains défoncés, ou dans des lieux insolites... Des Maldives au Groenland, en passant par Madagascar, l’Inde ou le Maroc, des milliers d'amateurs de tous âges jouent, rêvant qu'ils sont en finale d'une coupe du monde. Deux textes accompagnent les photos du livre. Ils sont extraits des oeuvres d'Olivier Guez (prix Renaudot 2017) et de Bernard Chambaz (prix Apollinaire 2005).
Le livre a été sélectionné en finale à l'Athens Photo Festival Photobook Show de 2019 et exposé au Benaki Museum.

Football Dreams is a photo book on soccer off the beaten tracks, all over the world. From Brazil to Greenland, to Morocco, to India right through Zanzibar and Madagascar, thousands of young people play on accidental pitches. They all dream they are playing crucial matches, league championship or world cup finals, in front of crowds of fans. No matter if the football pitches are rocky or slanted, who cares if these anonymous football stars play on beaches, in hallways, streets or fields ? In their dreams they are in Maracana, the Stade de France, or in Wembley...
Two texts accompany the pictures. They are extracts of two brilliant French writers : Olivier Guez and Bernard Chambaz. Those texts are translated in English.
The book has been selected among the finalists in Athens Photo Festival Photobook Show 2019, and exhibited at the Benaki Museum.
20 pictures of Football Dreams have been exhibited in Les Rencontres d'Arles 2019.
